Twitter/Facebook?
Okay, question. Who all has twitter? I got twitter a few years ago and I love it honestly. I've had facebook for years too but now Facebook is at the point where there are children whom are 10 years old are on it and it's starting to lose all of it's exclusivity. A while ago you used to only be able to have a facebook if you had a college e-mail, and now it seems like it's way more political and they're only worried about the money of having more members, than it being a place for college students? Twitter is a great source of getting people "in the know" I tweet at least 20 times a day, people think it's dumb because they assume it's only letting people know what you're currently doing, but it's way more than that! I am at the point where I wanna get rid of facebook and just have twitter as my means of communication.

Hi Marquis! I don't have twitter, but I tried to make an account. I thought it was interesting how you can follow your favorite celebrities and that is what I would use it for. Is twitter like facebook where you have a profile or something? I guess I don't undersatnd it and I have been on facebook so long that I don't feel like making the change. I like facebook but I hate how addicting it is! Which do you prefer or like better? I can't say that I know since I don't have both!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a twitter but I do think it is interesting how you can stay updated with friends and celebrities. I did get an account but that lasted for a week because I just didn't understand it. I also don't need another account of some kind to keep me distracted from doing homework. I do have a facebook because I like staying in touch with some of the people I went to high school with. I deactivate it time from time so I stay away from it when I need to do work or study for a test.
ReplyDeleteI have an account for both twitter and facebook. I like facebook better because of the chat whereas twitter doesn't have chat. Twitter is new compared to facebook so people think it might be better but I don't see it that way. However twitter is nice with the trends but it is basically the same as facebook. I think twitter is a better mobile gadget where facebook is better for computers that you can't travel with.
ReplyDeleteI don't have an acocunt for twitter but I have a facebook page that I created when I was leaving high school in order to stay in touch with my friends. I could definitely live without it. If it wasn't for that reason, I don't think I would even have a facebook because I'm not that into it. I don't think I'm ever going to get a twitter because it doesn't interest me. These are both really popular but the social networking scene really hasn't effected me that much.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a twitter acount but I plan on having one in the future. I do have facebook and I agree that it is getting a bit out of control. In fact I know people who make their pets have a facebook page. Another problem with facebook is that people update their status every five minutes. I do know some people who wait 24 hours to make an update. I might average 2 times a day.
ReplyDeletei got a twitter follow me @jrm2054 and ill follow back. I like it but not as a main means of communication. I use it to stay up on celebs and athletes mostly. I like it but like facebook more, but the number of younger people on facebook annoys me to.
ReplyDeleteI have a facebook, but I really only use it to mess around with. I highly doubt I will ever get a Twitter because I think it's pretty dumb and it just doesn't make sense to me. Just one man's opinion!
ReplyDeleteTwitter is definitely the new latest craze. I feel that every year something new will come out that will replace the existing one because everyone loves trying something new. And corporations are trying to outdo one another at the moment because technology is huge. I feel that you shouldn't get rid of Facebook completely though because that is just one more way of communication and also good for networking. Kids are always wanting to get involved. These kids have to have the latest things, so of course facebook made it so that people besides college could use it, to of course get money. Do I think they're too young for it? Yes, because these kids are putting on pictures for everyone to see, leaving comments and statuses that are immature and don't realize that those pictures will still be there most likely when they go to search for jobs. I just wonder as to what is going to come out next that everyone will get their hands on. Teach me how to use twitter :)!
ReplyDeleteI've had twitter for a few years as well. It's a lot of fun. It's exceedingly useful in many ways. Originally, I got it because a lot of my friends were getting it, and we used it to keep in touch with each other and joke around, kind of a replacement for mass texts. We don't do that quite as much anymore, but it's fantastic for keeping up on hockey information: I follow a lot of high-profile hockey reporters and it essentially turns me into a hockey insider, because as soon as they tweet something, I hear it.

Well Marquis, I don't have a twitter and have been reluctant to signing up for it. I'm like you I use to be a big fan of facebook but now it's just too much random ridiculous things that I feel it can't be used as a legit source of communication. I feel that with the people I know they feel the same way, facebook is a place to get your drama fix. I do like some of the things on facebook though, it's allowed me to keep in touch with my old friends and what not so I can't give it to bad of a rap especially in that sense.
